Full Sister to Vannan. In foal of Cornet Obolensky (°06/2020).
GIAMOND, A FULL SISTER TO VANNAN
Giamond’s sire is Diamant de Semilly, who caused a furore on the international showjumping scene. Partnered with Eric Levallois, Diamant won the team gold medal during the 2002 World Championship in Jerez de la Frontera and placed ninth individually. In the same year he was laurelled as the French showjumping champion. Diamant won the team silver medal during the 2003 European Championship in Donaueschingen. Moreover, he won several international Grands Prix. Diamant is a priceless gem, not only in the breeding world, but also in the showjumping world. He is the sire of many outstanding international showjumpers at five-star level, such as Don VHP Z (Harrie Smolders), Ilex VP (Nicolas Delmotte), Utamaro d’Ecaussines (Niels Bruynseels), Extra Van Essene (Darragh Kenny) and Urano de Cartigny (Felicie Bertrand). Thanks to his successful offspring, Diamant de Semilly is ranked second in the most recent WBFSH ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses.
Giamond’s dam line we also meet top performance blood. Giamond’s dam, Quana One de l’Eaugrenée, is a daughter of Kannan, ranked 12th amongst the world’s best suppliers of showjumpers. Giamond is a full sister to the famous approved stallion Vannan. In partnership with Athina Onassis and Alberto Zorzi, Vannan performed at international five-star level. Giamond is also a half-sister to the nine-year-old Comme One Z. Leonie Peeters and Comme One Z are collecting top-10 placings at international two-star and three-star tournaments, at 1m40 to 1m45 level. The three-year-old Giamond is in foal of Cornet Obolensky (ex-Windows van het Costersveld), ranked fourth in the ‘WBFSH/Rolex-sire ranking 2018 jumping’.
