After an exceptionally successful sports career the Holsteiner Berlin has become very popular with breeders and they have not been disappointed because his initial progeny are already jumping at 1.40 m level such as Cannavaro 17, Folia, Zalerno, Zamboa etc.
Coline M, the dam of Merlinaire, is bred from an excellent dam line. The granddam Venezia is a half sister of Rodana who in turn is the dam of the GP horse Wodan M who is very succesful with Urmas Raag.
Venezia is the dam of Dreambreaker M who jumped very well in the cycle before being sold to Egypt. The third dam Goldfee is a half sister of the mare Florentina who is the founding mare for the dam line of the stallions Wandor and Hasall v/d Mispelaere.
