Washington DC Heldenlaan is a BWP bred stallion who goes back completely to Hannover bloodlines. His father Espri is one of the best jumping horse progenitors in Hannover who got world fame thanks to ET from Hugo Simon and Esprit of Lars Nieberg.
Meanwhile a couple of his sons have followed in their father's footsteps such as Escudo and also this Washington DC.
The grand dam of Washington DC is also the mother of GP stallion San Carlos.

Karusso won the series for colts in the district competition in Moerbeke. He came second in St Lievens Houtem, fourth in Moorsele and placed for the finals in Pulderbos.
Resy, the third mother of Karusso was BWP champion and the half sister of the Z-level jumper Tornado.
