The Holsteiner stallion Calato belongs to the elite of the Holsteiner Verband. This son of Capitol I owes his name and fame to the phenomenal power of his offspring such as Chapman Rouge, Graziana, Index, Cleopatra, Callistro, Cactus L, Corinessa, Clausen etc. His most famous son is without a doubt Cöster, who already won, with Christian Ahlmann, one individual and four team medals at the European, World and Olympic Championships.
Thowra v/d Sterre, the dam of Jana VH, is a daughter of the other top progenitor Quidam de Revel and this from a very interesting dam line that goes back to Attack Z, the Almé Z son who was great in the international jumping sport and to Lugano Van La Roche, one of the cornerstones of the BWP.
