The French stud Pommeau du Heup has already built up a great reputation as a jumping horse at a young age. As a 3 year old he was Champion of France, at 4 years of age he became National BWP Champion and this year he also maintained clear rounds 7 out of 7. This son of Helios de la Cour has a large stature and is not only known for his technique and power but also for for the mentality and rideability (“rittigkeit”) to make it both in the sport and the stud. On his mother’s side Ikoon v/d Nachtegaele goes back to the Westphalian sire Alcatraz and the winning Selle Français bloodline of Lido Minotiere and Fantastique.
Rosita v/d Nachtegaelen, the mother of Ikoon is the full sister of Obelix who, with Sacha Marissen, jumped in the 1.40m courses. Rosita also delivered Allecis v/d Nachtegaele who jumps in 1.30m courses with Gilles Dunon and Vilano v/d Nachtegaele who was a finalist at the 4-year old class in Broechem.
