WARANKA: A HALF-SISTER TO THE INTERNATIONAL SHOWJUMPER UNO
Waranka’s sire is Quite Easy, a Holstein stallion that inherited the French performance blood of Quidam de Revel. Via his dam, Birte II, he belongs to the Holstein breeding family 173. Out of this family several approved stallions such as Casir ASK, Cevin, Concreto, Latus I and II, Montreal, Leopard, Quite Easy I’s full brother Quite Easy II, the full brothers Capitol I, II and III, as well as successful showjumpers, such as Romanus (at the time partnered with Hans-Günther Winkler) and Vaseline (Gianni Govoni) have been born. Quite Easy’s grandmother, U-Capitola, is a full sister to Capitol I, the well-known sire of C-Indoctro, Calato, Carthago, Cardento, Cassini I and II, Cento, Carolus, Clearway and many others. Quite Easy was used as a stallion in Sweden. Moreover, he was successful in the international showjumping world under the saddle of Peter Ericsson.
Via her dam line, Waranka carries the performance blood of progenitors Pilot and Grannus. In combination with Fuego du Prelet, Waranka’s dam produced the international showjumper Uno. In 2009, the eight-year-old Uno participated at international four-star showjumping tournaments, in partnership with Jean-Claude Van Geenberghe. Subsequently, when partnered with Katharina Offel, Uno claimed several top three rankings, including the victory in the Donetsk Grand Prix (four-star, 1m60). In 2011, Uno performed at several five-star tournaments under Sergio Alvarez Moya’s saddle. Subsequently, Björn Nagel and Alisa Danilova wrote the sequel of Uno’s international success story. What can we more tell about Waranka’s dam line? Agrana, Waranka’s grandmother, produced approved stallion Balougran Z and valuable breeding dam Agranuet (by Baloubet du Rouet). Agranuet gave birth to three showjumpers that performed at international five-star level, namely Chagrannus (Bruce Goodin), Corbanus (Emanuele Gaudiano) and Veneno (ex-Chagran, Liubov Kochetova). The nine-year-old international performer Calcento (Frederike Staack, three- and four-star, 1m50 to 1m55) has been born out of a half-sister to Waranka’s dam.
