Elite V/D Padenborre’s sire is Diamant de Semilly, a top French stallion who contributed many times to the success of the French team, for instance gold during the World Championship in Jerez de la Frontera and silver during the European Championship in Donaueschingen. Alongside these splendid team results he won the French showjumping championhip in 2002 and several international Grand Prix. In the most recent WBFSH ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses Diamant de Semilly is ranked fifth. Several descendants of Diamant are following in the hoofprints of their illustrious sire, such as Kalaska de Semilly (H.H. Latifa al Maktoum), Piman de la Devinière (Michel Hécart), Quickly de Kreisker (Abdelkebir Quaddar), Polinkska des Isles (François Mathy junior) and Erenice Horta (Edwina Tops-Alexander).

Via her dam Butterfly van de Padenborre (by Quick Star), Elite V/D Padenborre belongs to BWP performance line 21. Partnered with Patrick Spits, Butterfly performed at 1m40 to 1m50 level during international three- and four-star tournaments. Elite V/D Padenborre’s grandmother is the famous breeding dam Himalaya VD Padenborre, who produced several international performers, such as Ohio van de Padenborre (BWP-ambassador who performed at five-star level), Val t’Horens van de Padenborre (a successful jumper at five-star level under the saddles of Michel Robert and Marta Ortega Perez) and Winchester van de Padenborre (who had a four-star international career in partnership with Rossen Raitchev). Himalaya is also dam of four BWP approved stallions: namely, Ohio, Val ’t Horens, Diego and Dawson van de Padenborre.
